Wow, do I remember this very vividly...although it took place 30 years ago today:
A PSA jet collided with a Cessna over the North Park neighborhood of San Diego, leaving 144 dead; this tragic event occurred about eight blocks from where I would spend 22 years of my life. At the time, I had many friends living within blocks of the collision, and I was very shaken. In the building where I worked, about eight miles north of the accident, coworkers were frantic while listening to the radio, as we were only getting vague descriptions of the location where the planes went down, which was close to the homes and workplaces of friends and family. It was the worst air disaster in U.S. history at the time.
Now, an East Coast filmmaker is working on a project about it, according to this article in the San Diego Union-Tribune.
As I type this, it's almost 9:02 A.M. local time...the exact moment the planes collided.
Just taking a moment to reflect on that. _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."

If God wanted man to fly through the air, she would have given him wings.

At least you didn't say if God had wanted teams to win championships, she would have given them wings.
Now I have something better to remember September 25 by. _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."
