Greetings Ladies! As accustomed as you all must be by now, to my occasional disappearances from the board, I don't know if anyone has missed me this past week. However, I would like you all to know that I have the most best excuse ever...

My apartment was broken into on Christmas night while I was at work and my laptop was among the items stolen. However, I am happy to report that most of my property (including my laptop) has now been recovered without too much damage suffered and the most I figure I'm out right now is about $300 cash and what ever it costs me to have a new screen put on my bathroom window. Oh yeah, that and the fact that I am now a paranoid freak who wont leave the windows and blinds open if I go out on a beautiful day like today. I lived with a paranoid freak for seven years and I swore I would never be like that... maybe it will wear off, who knows?

So today I am finally back on-line, but will be MIA for the next two days as my honey and I celebrate the New Year. (I have a friend who will be staying at my apartment watching over it and my cat, no worries.) You know the stuff and the cash isn't really that big of a deal... it's simply the violation of it all... well anyway, I'm done with that subject, hopefully New Years will be a better holiday for me than Christmas. I ought to just become a Jew, so I could put Christmas down as an ordinary day in my calendar and stop trying to make it okay. Bah Humbug!

Sorry... had to vent!

That sucks! I can't imagine how pissed off, scared, and more pissed off I'd be....then depressed.

I'm glad you got your stuff back (well, most of it). That's at least something!

But all that means is you would have had your apartment broken into right in the middle of Hanukkah. Confused Confused

Well, anyway, I am glad you were able to recover so much.

Andrea and I missed you today...

We went to the desert... Agua Caliente Hot Springs and spent three glorious days and two beautiful nights in the warm clear sunny weather, hiking by day, soaking at night and rang in the New Year under a dark sky so full of stars... it was AMAZING! Thanks for all the good thoughts.
