We just learned this weekend that Steve's mother's lung cancer has returned. She is electing not to go through chemo or radiation because she had a partial lung removed several years ago when she was first diagnosed with lung cancer. She doesn't feel like going through the chemo this time after the hard fight she went through back then. She has also been through breast cancer but both cancers had been considered in remission after successful surgeries and treatment. She and her family are grateful for the extra time she was given after fighting both of those cancers.

We are asking everyone to pray that she have peace, emotional and spiritual strength, and is able to enjoy the time she has left with her family, as well as a peaceful passing when that time comes. They have given her 6 months to a year.

Thank you Cathy. She is home from the hospital and doesn't appear to be having any health problems other than what will be long-term breathing problems at this point. She has a very accepting attitude of what is going on and is talking to people about what she wants done.
