I loved the title of this article from Sports Illustrated, Baseball's Ultimate Chess Piece Journeys Toward History, about pitcher Edwin Jackson, who is now playing for his 13th major league team, the Oakland Athletics. Although the linked piece is nearly one year old, Jackson recently tied the major league record (shared with another pitcher, and Jackson's one-time teammate, Octavio Dotel) in number of teams played for.

Still remember him as a rookie in 2003, beating future Hall of Famer Randy "The Big Unit" Johnson, in his first major league start--on his 20th birthday.
And he stayed with the Cardinals long enough (12 starts) to play in and win a World Series, in 2011.

His time with my Padres was brief and not very much worth commenting on! We will probably bring him back for another stint when he is close to retirement! Surprised

The tie has been broken, and Edwin Jackson now holds the record for most teams played for, as I reported his recent acquisition by the Blue Jays in another thread.

But for perspective, I'm bumping up this one from last year.
