There was a two-hour rain delay at PNC Park before play got underway in the second game of this weekend series between the Dodgers and Pirates--but when it did, the Dodgers notched another quality start by a pitcher and recorded another win by the team, this time by a 7-2 score.

And...that's a sweep. The Dodgers not only sweep this weekend's series, but the season series against the Pirates. Maeda-san got the start for L.A. and beat Chris Archer, although the game wasn't as close as the 11-7 final score suggested. Again, relief pitching issues (Caleb Ferguson) reared an ugly head, but thankfully the Dodgers offense had a padded lead at the time he took over. However, only two of the Dodger runs came via the longball, and both early on--off the bats of Corey and Joc. Plenty of small ball saw the Dodgers score six runs in the sixth. Overall, the offensive player of the game for L.A. was Rojo Chingon, who hit 5-for-5, raising his BA to .304 (only 84 points less than Cody!). Smile Rojo had sat for Saturday's game just to give him a day of rest, so Doc's decision paid off.

Now, it's back home to L.A. for four games with the Mets, starting with a 5 p.m. game on Memorial Day.
