Yeah, okay, I'll grudgingly give credit to Jints pitcher Tyler Beede for notching his first major league win--over our Dodgers. Sad

Padres lefty Logan Allen beat the Brewers in his first major league start, at Petco Park, last night, 4-1. Congratulations! Article from padres.com

Admittedly, I am way behind on updating this thread!

And we're ready for the post-break milestones.

Well, it didn't take long for a post-break milestone to be registered, as Angels pitchers Taylor Cole and Felix Pena honored their fallen teammate, Tyler Skaggs, by combining to no-hit the Mariners in Angel Stadium last night--the team's first home game since Skaggs' untimely death on July 1--in a 13-0 win.

And it's all about "SM"--congratulations to Cole, a Simi Valley native, and Pena for accomplishing this feat to honor Santa Monica's own Skaggs. Only one Seattle baserunner was yielded, on a walk by Pena in the fifth inning.

Congratulations to Matt. This poor guy had to come to the team right about the time they were hit with tragedy.
