Ho-ho-ho! I'm here to post my traditional holiday greetings!

Last Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent. And as we know, blue is the liturgical color for the season...which means that my church is decorated for baseball's offseason in my favorite hue! Blue is considered to symbolize hope. What baseball fan wouldn't appreciate that?

For now, as in past years, I will re-post some of my traditional favorites that associate this time of year with my favorite team--particularly Dodger-based Christmas carols, with customized lyrics (by now, you know (as if you couldn't figure out!) which traditional tunes to match them with). I'm even including the "outdated" ones (references to Vin on the mic, the McCourts selling the team).

Deck the Halls with Dodger Blue
Fa-LA-LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA-LA
Happy offseason to you
Fa-LA-LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA-LA
Don we now our Dodger jerseys,
Fa-LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA,
Waiting for the winter workouts,
Fa-LA-LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA-LA.

Joy to the World! The Dodgers win
May everyone rejoice!
Let's all enjoy a Dodger DogĀ®
And cheer our Dodger players
In one synchronized voice,
In one synchronized voice,
In one, in one synchronized voice.

Dodger DogsĀ® roasting on an open fire,
Scully waxing on the mic,
Chavez Ravine, all lit up in blue,
O baseball fan, what's not to like?

Up on the top deck, what a view,
Of our boys in Dodger Blue,
Take in a game, see the Dodgers win,
All while listening to St. Vin.
Ho, ho, ho, Go Dodgers, go
Ho, ho, ho, Go Dodgers, go
Up on the top deck, what a scene
Check out that view of Chavez Ravine.

Hilda's bells, Hilda's bells
Jingle all the way,
Cowbells cheer the Dodgers on
From Brooklyn to L.A.!

O Ballpark Dear, Chavez Ravine
We long to see you soon
But Opening Day is so far off,
An April afternoon...

And who remembers this "personalized" one from 2012? Smile

Joy to the World, McCourt is gone!
We forced him out of town!
We got ourselves new ownership,
Let's bring back good old No. 6,
And turn this team around, and turn this team around,
And turn, and turn this team around.

Laughing Laughing

I bet you're wishing I would compose some new ones by now, right: Wink Wink

Please share your favorite baseball-related holiday greetings if you wish.

Feliz Azul Navidad! Peace, love and Dodger Blue!

The Dodgers had their holiday party hosting homeless children at Dodger Stadium yesterday. Really makes one appreciate what they have.

Hello and Merry Christmas!

I got a Walker Buehler jersey among many other nice presents. Brrr - it's cold here in North County and we just got back from visiting friends in Descanso where it was colder! There was snow above 5000 ft. so, a white Christmas. Nice to see but much better to leave behind. We didn't have chains so we didn't go all the way up.
