The ballot was released this week, with the Yankees' iconic SS Derek Jeter (has it really been over five years???) as the marquee name.

I know I had to Lol when a headline on the Padres' page was about Heath Bell making the Hall of fame ballot. Laughing

A first and a last:

Congratulations to iconic Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter, who was announced today as a new inductee into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility--to nobody's surprise; and to former Expo/Rocky/Cardinal Larry Walker, who played as both an outfielder and first baseman, elected in his last year of eligibility. Details from MLB.com

They are both deserving. Congratulations. I liked the way Larry Walker described it as a 45 rpm record - linked here
