According to mlb.com, last season (2019) had the fewest LH throwing fielders in 55 years - article linked here

This is something I would have never even thought about. It mentions possible reasons like the shift and position versatility but maybe (depending on how you feel) goes a little into over analysis. But still it was a good read at a time when we have little baseball to follow.
