The Braves set an NL record with 29 runs scored in their win over the Marlins yesterday at Truist Park. For added novelty, no previous game in MLB history had featured a 29-9 final score.
The Brewers also beat the Tigers, 19-0, for the worst shutout setback suffered by Detroit in its 120-year franchise history. And since the game was played at Comerica Park, that's 19 runs down with home field advantage (if such a thing exists this year, LOL!).
But take note that on September 9, 2020, there were 44 total runs scored by two major league teams.
Here's a list of teams that have scored 25 or more runs in a game, from MLB.com. _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game.
