It gets underway tonight at Petco Park.

I guess we've been posting in the wrong thread! DB you might want to remove comments from the ALDS thread.

Oops, you're right! The Rays won both of the first two games, yesterday and today, beating the Asterisks* by scores of 2-1 and 4-2, respectively.

How about Manny Margot, coming up big with both the glove and the bat?

I still love him! He's my favorite ex Padre. Here is his catch frame by frame - from mlb.com

Only slightly dulling the pain of last night's Dodger loss was the fact that the Rays are now up three games to none in their series. They won Game 3, 5-2, and the Asterisks* are on the brink of elimination.

Get it done!

Pitching and defense are the keys.

No update on this one, Linda? The Astros won Game 4 to avoid a sweep but it was close, 4-3. I had a feeling they were not just going to go away. Even if we hate them, they are still a very good team. Hope the Rays will nail it down today. Thinking of heading down to the Gaslamp Quarter.

Thanks for picking me up on that, Cath. Smile

And the Astros won again today, 4-3, so there will be a Game 6.

After the Astros set the Rays down again yesterday to tie the series at three games each, there will be a Game 7 played at Petco Park today!

As we all did. Congratulations to the Rays, who eliminated the Asterisks* with a 4-2 win at Petco Park last night in Game 7. By doing so, they've reached the second World Series in franchise history. Who will they face?

Also, kudos to Tampa Bay right fielder Randy Arozarena, who became the first rookie position player to win the ALCS MVP award.

Congratulations to the Rays for not just winning the pennant but for eliminating the Astros. They did the baseball universe a huge favor. I'm not totally getting behind them, though. I want to see how our Dodgers fare because of course you know if they face them, it will be the whole world against the Dodgers, again.

Congrats, Rays. Another small market team making use of its resources!
