It has been so exciting to watch LMP baseball and playoffs the last few weeks, even if we cannot be at the games. I really needed to get my mind off all the uncertainty and stress going on about other things. I am elated the CWS will be played this year and games will start on January 31. I have not picked a team between Hermosillo & Culiacán but am just enjoying the beisbol. _________________ "Baseball is an allegorical play about America, a poetic, complex, and subtle play of courage, fear, good luck, mistakes, patience about fate, and sober self-esteem." - Saul Steinberg |

Good call, Cath. After being starved of AFL games and no local winter ball, but still on the high of my team winning the World Series--not to mention the uncertainty of "mid-winter" thrills starting in three weeks, MLB regular season's starting date being up in the air, etc.--at least beisbol is being played! The CS is indeed set to begin late next week in Mazatlán, so I'm interested to see which team the host country sends to compete! _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game.
