I know! He is the first Dodger pitcher I remember from when I was first watching baseball. Rest in blue heaven forever along with all our other Boys in Summer! |

It has been a sad run for so many Hall of famers over the last few months!
I remember some pitching duels between him and Randy Jones. They both had what the Colonel mistakenly called "Karl Marx haircuts." Oh! That made me think of our own Harpo. _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."

My brothers were talking this weekend about when he got into the fight with Steve Garvey in the locker room. I know Cyndy Garvey was brought into the conversation (shall we say) after Sutton went after Garvey's public image. They were saying at that time Garvey really had a perfect reputation. It was interesting to hear them tell their memories. Dodgers didn't have much of a reputation for not getting along. |
