Okay, I've recently addressed, in various threads, team coaches and staff members who won't leave women reporters alone as far as advances go, and I also posted one female sportswriter's personal lament.
I hate to have to bring this up, but now we learn that Alanna Rizzo's recent departure from the Dodgers leaves behind some related negativity. It was not the cause of her leaving, but she echoes the same complaints others have.
This Daily News article provides a few insights. The Dodgers declined to comment for this piece, but Rizzo says they addressed issues she brought to their attention.
But she's right. This shouldn't be acceptable. _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."

Pathetic. Not much else to say. _________________ "Baseball is an allegorical play about America, a poetic, complex, and subtle play of courage, fear, good luck, mistakes, patience about fate, and sober self-esteem." - Saul Steinberg |
