I have a question, Dodger gals - did President Trump ever mention the Dodgers winning the World series, on Twitter or make any kind of acknowledgment?

I have asked around and nobody seems to have heard.

The Nationals have asked incoming president Joe Biden to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day next season - link from CBS News

Well, with as tense as things have been in this country over the last few years, I'm surprised we actually went ten months without posting in this thread.

Recently, Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza--a former Dodger who longer maintains any residence in California--decided to advise us how to vote in our gubernatorial recall election, with a caveat attached that he would return to Dodger Stadium after years of absence if we voted for the candidate he wanted.

I'll pass, thanks, and so did the state. I was a big fan once, but I'm so over you, MP.

Why is it that people who don't live here think they know better than us how our state should be run?

I've recently found out about Blake Treinen, a big piece of the Dodgers' bullpen. He has posted conspiracy theories about COVID and about the last election. I have lost respect for him. I still root for him because he's a Dodger, and he's been very good for our team. But I also found out he was the only player from last year's roster who was not present at the White House when they were honored. It's his right, but it seems the team was very united in making this visit. My guess is he thinks the election was a fraud. I'm not on IG but I was disturbed to read about some content on his account. Here's the link. Confused

Yes, I've heard those rumblings about Treinen, too. He hasn't seemed to say anything too divisive among his team, though, and that's what matters most--although I do have an issue with anyone spreading false information about vaccines! Mad

Just grit your teeth and let him pitch. Smile
