Happy Blue Year to all, and '23 sure has a magical ring to it.
Just another connection between '22 and '23, CBS Sunday Morning ran a nice memorial segment yesterday morning highlighting those who passed in the last year. Didn't know when I went to sleep that I would wake up to Vin calling Gibby's famous shot!
Side note: Fifteen years ago today, the Rose Parade stepped off with the Dodgers' 50th anniversary in L.A. float, which I helped decorate. Just finished watching the 134th Tournament of Roses a few minutes ago.
Welcome, 2023, and Go Dodger Blue! _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."

I did see that on Sunday morning. A nice recap which included his call of Henry Aaron's 715th home run too. Happy new (not blue for me) year! _________________ "Baseball is an allegorical play about America, a poetic, complex, and subtle play of courage, fear, good luck, mistakes, patience about fate, and sober self-esteem." - Saul Steinberg |
