Yes, I realize I still have to get up-to-date on these. That's coming! _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."

Sergio Romo has signed a minor league contract with S.F. for the main purpose of retiring as a Battery Chucker. So that is coming up before the season starts and will take place at the end of Cactus League play. Congratulations, I suppose I can say that, he was a pretty good reliever for a while even if he did play for that team. _________________ "Baseball is an allegorical play about America, a poetic, complex, and subtle play of courage, fear, good luck, mistakes, patience about fate, and sober self-esteem." - Saul Steinberg |

Just found out about Josh Reddick's retirement. I don't have many fond memories of him since his 3 months with the Dodgers were very subpar and he came back and "won" the World series against us with the Asterisks.* But, it should be mentioned here. |

Former Mets righthander Matt Harvey announced his retirement yesterday. I guess he finally figured out he lost the magic years ago. Congratulations to a very good pitcher for a short amount of time. _________________ "Baseball is an allegorical play about America, a poetic, complex, and subtle play of courage, fear, good luck, mistakes, patience about fate, and sober self-esteem." - Saul Steinberg |
