Blake Snell was said to have turned down the Yankees' offer of 6 years at $150 million but wanted 9 years? What is he thinking - that would be too risky for most teams, and here it is almost time for P & C to report and he is 1 P that will not be reporting anywhere unless something gets done. He is 31 for goodness sake! It's a shame they demand outrageous contracts but what if nobody nibbles - then the reigning CY winner from the NL will have no home for 2024.

I do appreciate what he did for us, but he is not our concern anymore.

Lefty Wandy Peralta will fill a hole in our bullpen as my Padres have announced he is signed for 4 years now. Article from padres.com

He was very solid with the Yankees last year.

Corbin Burnes was traded to the Orioles! I didn't think that was coming.

Great move for the Orioles with veteran leadership.

Caleb Ferguson has been traded to the Yankees. Good luck - he was a pretty bright spot in our bullpen.

J-Pro is back! My Padres got Jurickson Profar for 1 year. He has bounced around a bit over the last couple of seasons. I for one am happy to see him back in a Pads uni.

And Jorge Soler goes to the Jints for three years. Can't imagine a better-matched deal.

It seems strange that of the pitchers with no place to go now that pitchers & catchers have reported to camp, one of them is the current NL CY winner, Blake Snell! Exclamation I cannot understand him holding out for a better contract when teams are already shaping up their rosters and supposedly have manageable payrolls. I would be interested in what happens to him.

Yep, and notice how Jordan Montgomery, J.D. and Cody are all available after coming off great seasons, too. I find it funny in a sadistic way. Twisted Evil

Whitt Merrifield is now a Phillie.

Don't forget Ryu! And Matt Chapman, too. I've heard the Cardinals have interest in Chapman.
