I really like him. Saw that happen while I was watching the game. Hope he recovers well.

Yankees 1Bman Anthony Rizzo has been placed on the concussion list and is said to have cognitive impairment. That sounds really serious. They are saying they think it was a result of a collision with El l NiƱo a couple of months ago. Best wishes to him. Article from mlb.com

That's pretty scary.

I also want to extend best wishes for recovery to Yankees pitcher Domingo German, who is leaving the team to seek treatment for alcoholism.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to legendary Red Sox pitcher Bill "Spaceman" Lee, who collapsed during a Savannah Bananas game yesterday! He was hospitalized but appears to be doing well.

Anyone seen the latest list of guys on the IL due to COVID? Who knew this comeback was going to be so strong?

You have to feel bad for Tigers pitcher Matt Manning! For the second time this season he's on the IL (this time the rest of the year) because of an injury to his foot from a batted ball. Here's the article. It was very quirky because the same thing happened in April when he missed 2 months of playing time.

Last night though - Giancarlo Stanton hit a comebacker that hit Manning's foot when the Tigers were playing the Yankees in New York. Same foot! The first time was against the Blue Jays and the ball that hit him was off the bat of Alejandro Kirk. Just another crazy thing about baseball you can't predict!

Better luck to him in 2024!

Best wishes also to Yankees reliever Anthony Misiewicz, another victim of a line drive when he was hit in the head by one off the bat of Pirates second baseman Ji Hwan Bae in last night's game at PNC Park.

Best wishes to Padres chairman Peter Seidler. He is recovering from recent surgery.

Manny underwent surgery yesterday (right elbow) and hopefully will be all ready to go after the offseason. You could tell how much it was affecting his play. Article from padres.com

Well, this goes back to the end of the season, but...CK underwent surgery and probably won't be available to pitch until the middle of next season. But best wishes to him throughout his recovery!

Former Phillies manager Charlie Manuel suffered a stroke.

Best wishes to Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg, who has announced that he is being treated for prostate cancer.

Not sure how we missed this one, but best wishes to our old friend Corey, who underwent surgery for a sports hernia last week.

Evidently former MLB player Lenny Dykstra had a stroke on Valentine's Day and was recuperating at UCLA Medical Center. He's not a favorite but hopefully he recovers.
