It was kind of confusing to me, too, Cathy, but the logical assumption would have been that GilHodgesFan had seen the link. I just scrolled back through this thread, and saw Sunnyblue posted it on Sunday, January 8. She then removed it exactly one month later, as it was no longer valid, just before she bid us farewell. GilHodgesFan had been on this thread several times during those few weeks, so I don't know what happened. Maybe her husband saw it, though (not on the link, though!).

It's too bad she missed it, because I thought it captured their work very well! Including the pig's snout! Laughing

Yes I did notice that. By my count we covered 4 holidays in this thread not counting Valentine's Day since you had a different thread for that one.

Steve doesn't understand what I mean when I asked him about the pig snout. I went to the Ranch 99 website to try to find pig snout. I didn't see anything I thought looked like pig snouts but from everything else the store has I am certain they have pig snouts! Laughing

I'll be looking forward to your new thread with photos DB. I have to figure out how to attach photos so I can put some on the from last baseball season.

LOL--poor Steve! I'm not sure what 99 Ranch had to do with pig snouts (that is--it doesn't!), since Sunnyblue posted the video of the kids working on the pig snout decorations in Azusa, back on January 8.

On a completely separate topic, I brought up last week that 99 Ranch looks so drab now that all the New Year decorations came down.

You must have missed a few posts in between and just combined those!

DB - I was definitely way off base!!!

My goal for this week was to start in on vacation plans. Steve changed his mind and now wants to go to the Padres game first - Monday July 16th. Stay overnight in San Diego the 16th. Head to LA the next day and go to the Dodgers game Tuesday, July 17th. He found out he will be working 2nd Shift all summer so we will be able to leave early Saturday morning July 14th vs. 1:00 p.m. or later if he'd had to work all night the night before.

Steve wants to know if you two have any good tips for motels in San Diego for the 16th and around LA for the 17th, 18th, and possibly the 19th unless he wants to start out for LA on the 19th. My thoughts were we could start for Seattle on the 20th.

When I am feeling more ambitious (I am heading back to bed soon) I am definitely going to get going on the vacation plans.

Hopefully I can get the pictures posted this week also.

I went through the disk last night and I'm going to try to post pictures of the first game we went to either today or tomorrow. It was the White Sox-Dodgers game.

I don't care much for the colors but guess what - I did hang with the kids and was able to make it all the way through! Very Happy

I know what you mean about the colors. I don't care for them either, except for the royal blue Laughing

Thank you so much for helping out last night even though you had a tiring week. Ariceli and the rest of our family really do appreciate that.

Going back over this thread, I wanted to comment, they even had some lanterns down in Baja with a parade and a few festivals, too.

We did stay there after dark because I remember seeing fireworks and Tinkerbell going across the sky just like on "The Wonderful World of Disney" but we didn't stay late into the night. The all-nighters are probably for groups of kids. Or can anyone stay there all night?

Well someone posted about it in another thread a week or so ago, I think it was Linda because Sunnyblue didn't come back until later in the week. It has only happened twice in history to my knowledge that it was open 24 hours. I think that was why it got international attention because we were getting requests at work for events from people in other countries wanting to know how it worked.

They keep it open until 2 or 3 a.m. for grad nights, but the 24 hour thing was a novelty - it was why I posted the logo of Tshirts you could buy if you went that night. That alone made it a lot of fun. I know a lot of people who wish they could have gone that day. It was a great way to spend a day that does not come every year. Lots of fun.
