I definitely agree! Love the creativity.

I will post a pic of some of my things, in a few days. It's a "timing" thing. You'll see why.

LOL--funny. Smile

This is the best I can do for now.

I don't have a way to insert photos from my home computer so I use ImageShack. It has been awhile since I posted photos so I have to go back over the instructions but hope this will suffice for now. I'll try to post a photo of my Gil Hodges corner when I get back from vacation.

Here are some photos of my Gil Hodges collection. The Brooklyn Dodgers pennant is a reproduction and the Ebbets Field statue and scoreboard clock are newer items. All the items in the display case and the Gil Hodges autograph are originals and are from the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's.

Is it possible to move these to the thread we have for collections? I'd like to keep this one for its purpose--welcoming new members. A few shots when people introduce themselves is one thing, but that's why we have the other thread. Thanks.

I will get them moved. Jpochard shared such nice pictures of her room here and wanted to see others collections so I didn't think it would hurt to post mine once here.

No, it doesn't "hurt", but why do we even have the other thread at all? I'd just like for this thread to focus on new members and not lose that. I really do love viewing photos of everyone's collection and yours is very nice. But as time goes by I've found I'm sometimes searching for pictures I thought were posted somewhere specific because I would like to share the link, and it turns out I can't find them because they ended up posted somewhere else. It can be frustrating. It would just seem logical to be able to find them there. For now this is fine but I'm always looking at the "big picture"; I guess that's just the moderator/editor in me! Smile I know I was having a very hard time before your trip finding some comments about plans you had for the trip because they weren't where I thought I had read them--they ended up in some thread unrelated to any of the ballparks or teams.

It may not always seem this way, but there is always some logic behind my requests. Very Happy Even though I do enjoy seeing these pics, that is why I asked. It's fine to leave them here but please also add them in the other thread.

I've had some problems finding things on the site I've searched for also so it does make sense that pictures and posts need to be listed more specifically.

I will add the photos to the other thread tonight Smile

I have heard rumors that we have another new member here - when will we hear from her?

Hi everyone!!!! My name is Deborah and I bleed BLUE!!! My dear friend, Linda said I just might like this forum, and I do believe I've found a new hang out.

I've loved baseball for longer than I can remember. My dad told me recently that when I learned how to walk, the first toy I wobbly walked to was a plastic baseball bat. I call that fortuitous. I was born on the day and year that Walter O'Malley signed the agreements to move the Dodgers from Brooklyn to the west coast.

I live in Maryland, but my heart is always beating for Los Angeles. Thank you for letting me join your group. I'm ready to do some reading about the upcoming season.

BASEBALL RULES!!!

Welcome Deborah! I know you are the wonderful fan Linda raved about after her trip to the East Coast. Hope you will enjoy chatting with us about baseball!

Hi Deborah! Gotta say your choice of fan color is different than mine, but they let me in here, so I suppose I have to do the same (insert sarcastic face here). Very glad to see you join us and look forward to some baseball talk. I'm the token Reds fan here Smile Looking forward to a good year, and I do believe both our clubs are on an upswing - with the Reds just a bit ahead of your guys in blue.

Welcome!

I don't know! I think I'll contact her. I had hoped to have some company here. Sad And I see her posting regularly on another site, too. Sad Sad

I sent her a message before my trip. But I never heard back from her. Sad She seems like a nice fan, though and I know you spoke highly of her.

Maybe she applied the "one and done" label to herself.

Sad Question

Lol - well I hope not - but we need to get more members here if the ones who are on are not going to participate.

Just FYI - I have tried to contact the poster SPA many times ever since she joined our group back in January. She seems very interested here but has not responded even once to me - so I think it is safe to say there is not interest anymore. I really did try to reach out, though Sad Linda, I know you said she had some family stuff going on but I cannot imagine why she would not even respond just to say she would come back sometime (if she planned to) - or at least just to acknowledge I was trying to reach out.

Most of my female Padre fans friends are not big on fan forums and usually just check email or websites for the information they are looking for. I know, I have tried to get some of them to join but many are just not "forum type" people. So it looks like we are down 1 more poster.

Okay, thanks. I'm not sure why that is. She's on Facebook quite regularly, so I guess she decided against returning to join us. That's too bad.

There are quite a few here I haven't heard from in awhile.
