I know they're supposed to announce it sometime during the World Series. Anyone know more? _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. Well, it's not just us, and I guess Major League Baseball has "dropped the ball", so to speak.
Roberto Clemente Jr. publicly blasted MLB for not announcing the winner of the award (named for his father) during the World Series.
And here we are four weeks later, and still no announcement? _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. If the Yankees are the most successful team in baseball history, the Dodgers are the most essential. Their legacy is unique."

As of today when you go to the award's home page it says the 2020 winner has not been announced yet. I wonder what is taking so long and why? I wonder if it had something to do with Rojo Chingon since he was one of the nominees. And who makes those decisions in MLB anyway. |

Adam Wainwright won. Congratulations. _________________ "Baseball is an allegorical play about America, a poetic, complex, and subtle play of courage, fear, good luck, mistakes, patience about fate, and sober self-esteem." - Saul Steinberg |

All of the nominees were deserving but I'm sure Wainwright earned it. I've heard him mentioned in connection to it for a few years. I was still hoping for our Rojo Chingon. I wonder again if there was blowback about the team photo. Oh well. |
