Phil Niekro has passed away at age 81. The famed knuckleballer passed away in his sleep last night. May he rest in peace.

One of the first pitchers I remember pitching against the Padres from their early days. He was a great one. Rest in peace.

The Hall of Fame home page had a good article about him. I will always think of him managing the Colorado Silver Sox after his retirement from MLB. Here's the link.
