They've been talking about it since yesterday on sports talk radio and he announced it today. Buster Posey is retiring after a 12 year career with the Water Hoarders. Congratulations to him, because even though I couldn't stand him coming up against the Dodgers he was a terrific player and that team wouldn't have won those 3 championships without him.

True, though he will also be famous for the "Posey rule." But he was a clutch hitter for them, and handled their vaunted pitching staff well during that run.

Congratulations, Buster. You spent your entire career as a "Battery Chucker" but you earned the respect of many.

"The Rivalry" will not be the same without him, just as it wasn't without MadBum and it wasn't when Bobby's Son departed. I imagine Jints fans will say the same once CK and Rojo Chingon have left L.A. (hopefully spending their final days in Dodger Blue).

I too can respect his play. I dislike the "Posey Rule" though.

Congratulations to Buster on 3 championships in 12 years with all the individual honors he had along the way. I had forgotten he opted out of 2020 so for him to come back strong like this with a great season at his age and in his last year playing, was a good way to go out.
