So many passings! Larry Biittner, Jim Corsi and Tom Matchick, to start off the new year.

May they rest in peace.

This is so sad - a 28 year old bullpen catcher for the Rays took his own life. Sad Here's the link.

I hope he will rest in peace.

Truly, truly distressing. My heart goes out to his family. Sad

I wish there were not so many tragic stories about lives ending so young! Our area is in complete shock at the death of Micah Pietila-Wiggs at age 21, from a car accident over the weekend! I was shocked to read this in the Union Tribune. Eastlake LL is opening the trophy case for a vigil to memorialize him. Prayers for the Wiggs family; they are good people!

This news just broke my heart. You remember how Micah was my favorite player on that team! I loved following him through high school and knew how popular he was, and how deeply embedded in the South Bay sports community his family was. I'm so sad for them now. We'll miss you, Micah. Sad
