Yes, congratulations, getting that done in 6 innings and just beating out the rain is big - what if for example he still had that single left to get, and the game was called? This is quite a feat.

I hate to give props to the Asterisks* in any way, but they did throw a combined no-hitter against the Yankees (and Gerrit!) yesterday.

Nolan hit for the cycle last night! The Cardinals still lost to the Phillies but this was his second career cycle! So congratulations to him.

Outfielder Byron Buxton of the Twins started an unusual triple play in yesterday's game in which they beat the White Sox, 6-3. It was the first time in AL/NL history that an 8-5 triple play had been made. The game was played at Guaranteed Rate Field. Here's the link.

That was an odd triple play! Exclamation But thanks to horrible baserunning on the part of the White Sox, too!

Matthew Batten who was pinch-hitting, singled in the 8th inning of Monday's (July 4) game against the Mariners at Petco, for his first major league hit. It came off Mariners pitcher Ryan Borucki, although the Padres lost the game. Sad Link from mlb.com

Congratulations, kid.

Aaron Judge cracked his 200th career home run, and...

James Outman recorded his first major league hit, and home run, on the same pitch on Sunday in Colorado!

Congratulations!

What a thrill!

After 11 years playing in the minors and other professional leagues, outfielder Wynton Bernard--originally drafted by the Padres way back in 2011--finally made his major league debut tonight with the Rockies, and helped spark their win over the Diamondbacks with a single during a seventh-inning rally. His first major league hit came at the expense of

Bernard, of course, is a local kid out of RB High who had hopes of playing for his hometown team, but took the roundabout way through many organizations before reaching the Show.

Congratulations!

I know I am posting this late, but I want to congratulate Wynton Bernard! (Bernard of Bernardo) He was originally drafted a Padre. You have to admire his perseverance!

So many "firsts" lately with all the call-ups.

Congratulations to Josh Jung on his first major league hit!

Am I really the first one to post here, congratulations, Tio Alberto? #699 and 700 were hit at Dodger Stadium last night and it blows my mind! Only 4 players in the history of the game. But let's not mention Bobby's Son, lol. The fact is Henry Aaron and Babe Ruth were the other 2 to do it. I can't say enough about Albert.
