And the Dodgers have doubled their pleasure by winning both games! 9-1 final tonight.

A "spring cleaning at the Ravine" is what one of the bloggers called it. Smile

Unfortunately lluvia at Wrigley Field and so our team will play a doubleheader tomorrow.

So following the 7-0 drubbing of the Cubs in the first game of the doubleheader, the Dodgers swept the twin bill.

Ravin' at Wrigley! The Dodgers swept the Cubs with a 7-1 win today behind Walker's stellar pitching, and by playing a lot of small ball.

Now, it's on to Pittsburgh.

I love the small ball. And all this winning is without 2 of our top hitters playing really cold, too.

Two drastically different games got this series underway, and now here we are with another B at B game!

And the Dodgers have lost the series in Pittsburgh, and now return home to begin a four-game series against the Phillies tomorrow night.

It is odd that your team lost to a lower rung team in the NL Central at the same time mine did, with the same W-L results in the series. I am curious to see if any ground can be gained before our next head-to-head series.

Bryce is on an insane pace and he has to pick the Dodgers to unload on. Did you hear him being interviewed on the pre-game show?

What a turnaround! Following their struggles with the Pirates and Phillies, the Dodgers have passed the second phase of their 31 games-in-30 days stretch.

The Diamondbacks came into L.A. for a four-game set with all four to be played within 45 hours, including a doubleheader today. In the first game on Monday, the Dodgers won, 7-6, followed by an afternoon game today and a 7-5 victory, capped off by a 12-3 shellacking this evening.

The final game of the series will again be an afternoon affair on Wednesday. Following that one, they'll shuttle east to Philadelphia (didn't we just blink and they were gone?) for a weekend series.

I hope there's no letdown for the guys today. The offense has looked really good in spite of still having the same inconsistency problems from Belli and Mad Max. Maybe they're out to prove last week was just a bad week.

Thankfully, none. The four-games-in-45-hours stretch is over and the Dodgers passed the test--they swept! Next, on the road.

I guess the Padres passed the baton, because the Dodgers took it and won handily, 4-2, behind a dominating performance by Julio Urias in the first game of the series in Philadelphia.

I'm just going to say this much--our Dodgers had a damn good week until the bottom of the ninth inning yesterday. That's to be addressed separately.

Three games coming up vs. the Nationals, in Nationals Park.

The first two games in D.C. have gone well for the Dodgers, with 10-1 and 9-4 wins, respectively. Comments have been made by a few players that this is the first time so far this season that they feel everyone from 1 through 9 is contributing in the lineup. The outcome has been exceptional, but then again, this is a young and inexperienced pitching staff. Maybe it's just good batting practice, but they'll get some more real competition once they arrive in Arizona after tomorrow's afternoon game against the Nationals in which the Dodgers will go for the sweep.

Well, talk about a tale of two games! Those would be the final game in the Nationals series, before the Dodgers flew west to begin a four-game set in Arizona starting tonight.

In an afternoon "getaway" game on Wednesday, the National shut out the Dodgers by a slim 1-0 score. Try as they did, L.A. could not quite get that one run across the plate, and thus, the Nats became the first team to shut them out in 2022.

A little over 24 hours later, the Dodgers took control in Chase Field and annihilated the Diamondbacks, 14-1.

The second game of the series also went the Dodgers' way, with a final score of 6-4, although it should never have been that close.

Pre-game update: After a few days of speculation, Mad Max has been placed on the IL and Kevin Pillar has been called up. He announced that since he was a child, it's been his dream to "drive down the 101 and play for the Dodgers, and now it's coming true." Considering his veteran experience on other teams, it's great to hear that, even if a little later than expected.

The Dodgers returned home from their road trip and will open a three-game series with the Pirates tonight. They swept the Diamondbacks in four in Arizona this weekend, which, combined with the previous series, gives them eight straight over AZ in two weeks!

Well, the Bucs have guaranteed themselves of a season split with the Dodgers so far, taking the first game of three in L.A. after they won the series played in Pittsburgh three weeks ago. Walker didn't have a great start, and it took a late comeback for the Dodgers to even mount a threat. In the end, it was closer Craig Kimbrel who blew his first save of the season as the Pirates won, 6-5.

I haven't wanted to post about this, but the Dodgers were swept at home in three by the Pirates, of all team, with the team most similar to L.A.'s all-around excellence coming in for four games this weekend, starting tonight--the Mets.

I'm thinking something had better wake them up quickly because this will be one of the most closely watched series of the season so far.

The silver lining was that the Padres were swept in St. Louis, so no ground was lost. Then again, no ground was gained when there was opportunity to widen their lead.

I think the Pirates are just playing good against the Dodgers. They have a year like that every decade or so! Smile Though they haven't swept a series in Dodger Stadium since 2000, I do sort of remember about 10 years ago, they won 3 of 4 in a series in L.A. And everyone was shocked but it was right around the time the Pirates were starting to build a pretty good team and they were winning for those few years. Anyway the Mets - they have been playing great! I hope our 2 big guys are on their A games for the final 2 in the series, but maybe El Gato can set the tone tonight.

Also I had expected more of KP now that he is up again and getting more chances to play.

Well, that worked out, somehow. The Dodgers became the first team to shut out the Mets this season, and it was thanks to El Gato for the 2-0 win.

After winning the first two games of the four, the Dodgers ended up settling with a split. I'm still catching my breath.

But guess what--after 31 games in 30 days, they get one day off today. I don't. Smile
