It was brief because he was given opportunity and was not the least bit impressive. He declined a minor league assignment so forced the team to release him.

Evidently I failed to post this note last week, that a grandson of Kearny Mesa has now become a Jint. That's right, catcher Austin Wynns was traded from the Phillies in exchange for LHP Michael Plassmeyer and cash considerations. This became glaringly noticeable as Wynns had a decent weekend against the Dodgers in S.F. and a few "reminders" from family members about his origins.
