Although the topic of this thread is summarized in a new book, which seems more suitable for the Books thread, I can't review it because I haven't read it yet, so I'm posting here. This is more about an adventure in search of baseball, about baseball and Route 66. So if you love baseball and Americana, there's nothing better than this.

For me, it rings nostalgic in more ways than just the stops along the way, but in the fact that my father, who instilled the love of baseball in me, came west from Missouri with his family in 1943 along Route 66. They ended up where the road ends, at the ocean in Santa Monica, CA.

So, there is that. Smile

I like this - it made me really want to pick up and take a road trip along all those sites!

OMG--what I missed by not attending Sunday's Dodgers-Mets game! The Route 66 tour ran right through L.A.

It would have been great to be there for that! - even though the Dodgers lost the game.
