Getting underway tomorrow--an upstart team from the PNW that hasn't been in the playoffs in 21 years, but swept two games on the road in the wild card series, will take on the villains of baseball beginning in Houston.

Hope to see the Mariners with another great road performance. You cannot keep them down!

Well, I guess the Asterisks* did figure out how to keep them down. The Mariners jumped on them early, too, but Yordan Alvarez had a say with a superb performance.

Maybe that miracle run is over because Houston won today, 4-2. The Ms will need a miracle.

Very deflating watching those games.

But Game 3 is going on from Seattle now and neither team has scored. It's in the 14th inning now! It's the kind of game we as fans of great pitching love, but not what they want to see there. I bet Mariners fans are getting restless! At least they're playing at home where they can walk it off!

And they lost in the most excruciating way possible, 1-0 on a solo shot in the 18th inning. The Asterisks* move on.
