I was sorry to see Padres catcher Jorge Alfaro non-tendered. He had a lot of walk off hits for us this season, was a great teammate, and very popular with fans too.

They were talking a lot about the possibility of Justin Verlander to the Mets for 2 years. I would not sign him for more than 1 at a time but that deal got done anyway.

And Trea to the Phillies for 11 years! Exclamation

You ladies will find this humorous, I am sure - but when I heard Justin and Turner earlier today I was thinking of "Rojo Chingon" - then I heard both Justin Verlander and Trea Turner.

Laughing

Well, in my opinion the Phillies are overpaying and what bothers me is that deals like that for Trea just drive up the going price for Aaron Judge. But what am I, though - just a fan.

Andrew Heaney is now a Ranger. We're losing half our rotation before our eyes.

El Jueza back to the Yankees for 9 years. I'm not surprised but I am relieved he didn't go to the Battery Chuckers. Surprised

Well, I am sure happy with my Padres signing Xander Boegarts for 11 years! A pleasant surprise after they were jilted by 2 other FAs they offered big deals to. You know, the guys who went to the Phillies & back to the Yankees.
