Yes, this is worthy of its own thread because it's a record--a player returning just 160 days after undergoing TJ surgery. He'll start his first game of 2023 for the Phillies tonight.
It's happening at Dodger Stadium, which means I'll have some extra interest in it, but I must admit my eyes popped out when I read this news. _________________ "The Dodgers have always occupied an enormous place in the history of the game. No doubt he will heat up but he was stone cold tonight. That does seem quite rushed. I think the impact on his health won't be known right away but they can look back at the end of the year and see if it was a good decision. |
