Happy Mothers Day, and enjoy!

Remember when Major League Baseball used to have honorary batgirls on this day?

Well, moms will still be honored around the ballparks on this special day, and MLB continues to raise breast cancer awareness.

Happy Mothers Day! I hope it doesn't come across as mean to say I hope Dodger moms are happy at the end of the day! Razz

Thank you for the wishes - it was an otherwise nice day except for that game. We had brunch on Shelter Island and came home to watch with the whole family. The consolation was having everyone under the same roof and I have so many other blessings.

Well, that's a pretty good consolation. Smile

A few more comments about Mothers Day and the Dodgers in particular:

-Clayton's mother just passed away on Saturday; always an emotional occasion for a player, but the timing being on Mothers Day weekend making it especially tough. Condolences to the Kershaws.

-All of the six Dodger babies who were products of the 2022 All-Star break have been delivered, so happy Moms Day to the new mamas.

One thing I really liked hearing about, though I wasn't there yesterday was some of the Dodgers players waiting at the entry gates to hand out flowers to the moms who were coming in for the game. How fun would it be to have that happen when you're entering the stadium.
