Though we do have a thread about the probability of catching foul balls at a game, this is about more than foul balls. In yesterday's Astros-Red Sox game at Fenway Park, one lucky fan caught not one, but two home run balls and not just in the same game, but in the same inning! Surprised

Thought I would mention this - the Lake Elsinore Storm invited their mayor into the broadcast booth on Friday, and who would have known they would throw a no hitter! Pretty good timing on his part.

Oh, my. They are investigating a couple for getting a little too rowdy, if you know what I mean! On the top level of the Coliseum, which I suppose would stand out since there are so few fans at the games these days.

Ke'Bryan Hayes was scolded for picking sunflower seeds out of his pocket during a live play yesterday. The amount of coverage this little incident has gotten!

I remember that from last week. I guess since the Pirates do not have much to follow there they do have to pick up on the "scandals" when they do have them, Lol.

If you want something else too crazy to imagine happening, 2 players got ejected for a national anthem "stand off." That was in K.C. today before the Mariners/Royals game. Article from mlb.com

I guess this isn't really "news", because I read it last month, but just ran across it again--about how Doc had to flee San Diego for a vacation following the NLDS loss.

I guess Mookie knows all that suspicious stuff going on at the haunted hotel in Milwaukee, so he chose to stay at an Air BnB during the Dodgers' visit to that city. Smile

MILWAUKEE — A ghost buster, Mookie Betts is not.

For the Dodgers’ series in Milwaukee this week, Betts has opted to rent a local Airbnb with some friends rather than stay with his teammates at the legendary Pfister Hotel, which many claim is haunted.

“I don’t know if they’re real or not, nor do I care,” Betts said of the ghosts after the Dodgers’ 6-2 win over the Brewers on Tuesday night. “My boys are here, so we just got an Airbnb. That’s really it.”

The Pfister was built in 1893 and has long been a local haunt, so to speak, for MLB teams in town to play the Brewers.

Over the years, many players have shared stories of what they insist were paranormal experiences while staying there. Former Dodgers third baseman Adrian Beltre once claimed a ghostly presence turned on the lights and tickled his toes while he was trying to sleep there. Former Dodgers infielder Michael Young once told ESPN he had to give a rather noisy supernatural being a stern talking to in order to get some rest during one stay.

“It’s old, weird and scary,” former Dodgers closer Eric Gagne told The Times’ Steve Henson in 2005. “It’s very creepy. I don’t sleep well there.”

According to the Orange County Register’s Bill Plunkett, Betts has stayed at the Pfister before and has not had any run-ins with ghosts.

“But I couldn’t sleep,” Betts said. “Every noise, I’d be like, ‘Is that something?’”

Betts said having friends visiting Milwaukee at the same time “was a good excuse” to avoid the Pfister this time around, according to Plunkett.

“You can tell me what happened after,” Betts said. “I just don’t want to find out myself.”

If you are wondering why this is posted here it is because of the movie "Little Big League" from 1994. Ashley Crow was the actress who played the 12 year old kid's mom and now she is the mom of a real big leaguer. Smile
