Well, this is different, unprecedented, interesting...Earth Day has arrived but no baseball is being played, as has been the case in previous years.

However, Brewers LHP Brent Suter is doing his part--he hosted a live Twitter chat about environmental concerns for Earth Day. Suter considers himself the "greenest" player in Major League Baseball, and his background may provide a hint why--he graduated from Harvard with an Environmental Science and Public Policy degree in 2012, which is the same year he was a 31st round draft pick of the Brewers. Sounds like he has plenty of available options for post-baseball careers.

Also, MLB.com lists more than 100 ways MLB has "gone green" over the years, including some I didn't know about.

Happy 50th anniversary of Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! The most unusual one of all!

All good information about the progress we have made over 50 years, especially with Major league baseball leading the way.

Very good. My Padres won on Earth Day, at least! Smile
