I was surprised nobody posted about the big pitching match-up between the 2 former teammates from Harvard Westlake - Jack Flaherty and Lucas Giolito, last night. Flaherty was not sharp and got the loss. But a lot of background with their coach in attendance. I love stories like that.

I do, too! Smile I flipped around for awhile in between our game, going back and forth with the Dodgers-Astros, Padres-Brewers and Cardinals-White Sox. Thanks for posting about this--there was a lot to keep tabs on!

It's impressive as hell they can get 2 guys from the same high school team in the major leagues at the same time, then even more so when they pitch against each other. Then you have to figure in there was a third guy part of their big 3 who's also playing MLB! It's a great story for a powerhouse baseball school.
