I'm angry because he deserved so much better, and embarrassed for the Angels organization on hearing this news. Evil or Very Mad

Shane Greene is back with the Braves, so there goes one more veteran reliever off the market.

Whoa! Albert Pujols a Dodger? The future Hall of Fame first baseman has a "deal in place" according to "sources" as reported on dodgers.com. However, as of last night it had not yet been confirmed by the Dodgers. (So why post it on dodgers.com, then?) Confused

Confusing, but the Dodgers do need a veteran bat off the bench who can hit lefties. I would welcome him gladly after all those years he did damage to our team!

I will too. A lot of people seem like they're confused why we picked him up when he can't play everyday. He brings veteran leadership. I think he'd be good for some of those younger guys we have playing now. He really helped Mike Trout a lot in Anaheim. Not to say these kids we have coming up are anything like Trout but I believe Pujols can have a positive impact on any young players who are open to learning.

I will be interested to see how he fares for your team.

For the record, Albert Pujols and Dodgers finalize contract.

Evidently that acquisition was announced just an hour before the game started. I had no idea. I finished eating, turned on the TV just as the top of the first inning was getting underway, then came the bottom of the inning. The Phillies' broadcasters made mention of Steven Souza Jr., and I thought maybe he was with the Phillies now. But when he came up to bat in the bottom of the inning, I quickly searched on-line to find out how and when he became a Dodger. Talk about a last-minute lineup addition!
